Kaizer Chiefs Coach ‘Plans to Send Six Players Out on Loan’

Doctor Khumalo, a former Bafana Bafana player, has disclosed that Kaizer Chiefs’ new coach Nasreddine Nabi intends to loan out six players for the upcoming season.

On Monday’s SABC Soccer Zone show, Khumalo revealed that Nabi and his technical team have already petitioned the Amakhosi hierarchy to let the six players to move out on loan.

“I’ve seen the names of the players that they’ve asked the management to loan out, six of them. It’s not my duty to mention them here. Two of them are nursing injuries at the moment,” said the former Kaizer Chiefs legend.

Khumalo also claimed that Nabi was eager to work with the club’s younger players.

The Chiefs have already reinforced their team with youthful players for the forthcoming season, most recently signing 22-year-old defender Rushwin Dortley from Cape Town Spurs.

Amakhosi has signed several players, including former Orlando Pirates player Bongani Sam (26) and TS Galaxy goalie Fiacre Ntwari (24).

“The information that I got is that the new technical team really want to work with the youth,” Khumalo informed me.

Last season, the “Phefeni Glamour Boys” finished in 10th position on the league standings. The club is hoping that the former Young Africans coach can improve their performance.

Nabi appears to have hit the ground running, already implementing changes at the club in his effort to restore the club’s glory days.

Amakhosi are presently practicing for the forthcoming season at a pre-season camp in Turkey, and they recently received a significant confidence boost. They defeated Qatar Stars League side Al Shahaniya 5-2 in a pre-season friendly last week.
