SuperSport United’s head coach, Gavin Hunt, is unsure how to halt in-form Gastón Sirino as they prepare to play Kaizer Chiefs in a league encounter on Saturday.
Uruguayan playmaker was instrumental in Chief’s 4-0 Carling Knockout victory over Matsatsantsa.
The Soweto giants have begun the new season strongly, sitting seventh in the league rankings with six points from three games.
They will attempt to continue their good form against United, and Sirino is anticipated to play a major role as they seek back-to-back triumphs over the Tshwane-based club.
Meanwhile, SuperSport has struggled this season, winning only one of three matches and presently placed ninth in the premiership with four points.
During an interview with the SoccerBeat Podcast on YouTube, Hunt stated that Sirino was a difficult player to stop.
“Sirino is difficult to play against since he does not play by the rules. When the game moves, he does not move; instead, he stands and receives the ball when it is turned over.
“He’s a wonderful player; he’ll turn the ball over and then come out with one or two passes to make a turn or pass. That’s how excellent he is, plus he has a great eye for goal, so he’ll have a lot of assists.
“We spoke about it we showed videos and I do a whole presentation on the opposition before games and I said to them watch look where the opposition is going and look what he is doing,”
