South Africans Cancel DJ Sbu’s Mofaya Drink After Defending Miss SA Finalist Vanessa Chidimma Adetshina

DJ Sbu, a well-known radio personality, has become embroiled in the ongoing Miss SA controversy that has dominated social media.

The Chidimma saga appears to be spiraling out of hand as more netizens become enraged as South African celebrities continue to side with and defend Miss SA finalist Vanessa Adetshina.

Social media users have urged DJ Sbu to discontinue his energy drink, Mofaya, after he backed Chidimma. Following a video of the former radio star and Miss SA finalist consuming the Mofaya drink.

On social media, @Miz_Ruraltarain urged others to cease purchasing the DJ’s energy drink and allow Nigerians to do so, citing his support for them during the Miss SA controversy.

She wrote:

“Me and your Dj Sbu we were following each, after his stupid distasteful comments protecting Nigerian drug dealers and the imposter Nigerian girl Chidimma Adetshina. I blocked another useless so-called “celebrity”. I’ll never drink that rubbish Mofaya. Tsek Sbu #RemoveChidimmaOffMissSA #CancelMissSA.”

 

According to report, Vanessa Chidimma Adetshina, a contentious finalist, is a South African citizen, as certified by Miss South Africa. The revelation follows social media users’ suspicions that she is a Nigerian citizen.
