At Teesside University, we are ambitious in our goals, vision and aspirations. We challenge expectations and push the boundaries of what is possible. We believe that innovation powers our steps and are motivated to make a difference through positive social impact. We work in partnership with individuals and businesses to devise creative solutions not limited by imagination. We work at pace, and are always future-facing, with our teaching, learning and research focused on addressing the challenges of tomorrow, today. We do not stand still.
The Nursing Associate Programme is a Foundation Degree and Apprenticeship which currently has over 400 Trainee Nursing Associates. This is a 2 year programme which culminates in the Trainee Nursing Associate being able to register as a qualified Nursing Associate with the NMC and also are awarded an apprenticeship.
The programme is taught at level 4 in year 1 and level 5 in year 2. The Trainee Nursing Associates come from a variety of background such as acute trusts, private and independent sectors. The programme is delivered virtually and face to face at our Campus in Darlington so flexibility and adaptability to the requirements of this mode of teaching is necessary.
