Janet Jackson’s DSTV Delicious Festival Appearance Uncertain After Tito Jackson’s Passing

Tito Jackson’s death could have an impact on the appearance of his sister Janet Jackson, who is set to perform at the DSTV Delicious Festival in Johannesburg this weekend.

Tito, a member of the Jackson 5 and brother of the late Michael Jackson, has passed away, causing sadness in the music business.

Tito Jackson’s sons, Taj, Taryll, and TJ, revealed his death on Instagram on Sunday.

“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson, is no longer with us. We are shocked, saddened, and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being.”

The Jacksons referred to Tito as “Coach Tito” or “Poppa T.” It’ll always be ‘Tito Time’ for us. Please remember to do what our father always preached: ‘Love one another.’ “We love you, Pops.”

The terrible news has raised concerns about his sister Janet’s impending performance at the DStv Delicious Festival.

The event will take place this weekend at Johannesburg’s Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, with Janet Jackson set to headline.

The DSTV Festival organisers acknowledged Tito Jackson’s death and sent their sympathies to his family.

The festival organizers have confirmed they are in communication with Janet Jackson’s team, but no decision had been made by Monday afternoon.

“At this moment, we are in communication with Janet Jackson’s team, and while no decision has yet been made regarding her performance at the festival, we are committed to keeping the public and the media informed as soon as we have more information,” they said.

The organisers have urged the public to refrain from speculation and to show sensitivity during this period of mourning.

“We kindly ask for sensitivity and understanding during this period as this news is still very fresh. We will share updates as soon as they are available and urge the media to avoid speculation during this time of uncertainty,” they added.
