Tito Jackson visited a monument for his late brother Michael Jackson, only days before his own death.
The veteran musician died on Sunday at the age of 70, with reports indicating he suffered a heart attack while driving from New Mexico to Oklahoma. It has now been revealed that Tito’s final Instagram post came just days before his death, when he shared his experience of visiting a shrine dedicated to Michael, who died in 2009, while on a trip to Germany.
Alongside a picture showing Tito admiring the memorial, the singer wrote: “Before our show in Munich, my brothers Jackie, Marlon, and I, visited the beautiful memorial dedicated to our beloved brother, Michael Jackson.
“We’re deeply grateful for this special place that honours not only his memory but also our shared legacy. Thank you for keeping his spirit alive.”
Tito and his son Taryll, 49, and brothers Marlon, 67, and Jackie, 73, were touring Germany as part of the reconstituted quartet known as the Jackson 5. On September 10, they performed their final gig together in Munich, Germany.
Following Tito’s death, Taryll, together with his brothers Taj and TJ, who performed as pop quartet 3T, released a statement in honor to their father.
In a post on Instagram, the trio wrote: “It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us.
“We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being.
“ It will forever be ‘Tito Time’ for us. Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is ‘Love One Another’. We love you Pops.”
