Nonkanyiso ‘LaConco’ Conco discussed her prior engagement to Jacob Zuma. The Durban businesswoman opened up about their romance. She added that many around her noticed the glow but had no idea who the key man in her life was since they were very quiet.
Laconco, a former reality TV star, reflected on her past and her decision to preserve her V card. However, she stated that she was not saving for marriage or anything of the type.
The Real Housewives of Durban star discussed her friendship with the former President and their decision to remain private.
“We created a bubble that we lived in. People around me could tell I was in love but didn’t know with whom. His circle felt my presence, too. Some dug and found my pictures; some waited until he was ready to introduce me.”
The star was taken away by the repeated trip adventures, as well as the wining and eating in beautiful hotels. But, she remarked, sometimes they only had 30 minutes with each other, which was plenty for her.
“I was constantly flying, staying in hotels every week. Sometimes, I would only see him for 30 minutes, and that was enough. This phase tested my loyalty to my values and principles.”
Laconco described how the previous President wanted to show the world that he had seized her. The businesswoman shopped for bling in Cape Town, Pretoria, and Durban. Ultimately, they chose an engagement ring from Durban.
