Uncle Waffles Announces Toronto Show With Drake-Inspired Photo Shoot

Three years ago, worldwide artist Drake co-signed Uncle Waffles, and now she will play in his home city.

Uncle Waffles, actual name Lungelihle Zwane, has revealed that she will perform in Toronto on August 1, and Drake, a huge fan of the 24-year-old, will be in attendance.

Uncle Waffles paid tribute to the multi-award-winning rapper by staging a photoshoot similar to the commercial shoot for his eighth studio album, ‘For the Dogs’.

“TORONTOOOOOOOO! For the first time! We have a date! We love Waffles Headline Show on 1st August,” Uncle Waffles captioned the post.

Drake started following Uncle Waffles after a video of her DJing and dancing to the song “Adiwele” by Kabza De Small and Young Stunna went viral.

In 2022, the Canadian rapper made a surprise cameo on Uncle Waffles’ Instagram Live, commenting “Top DJ Top Sound Uncle”.

Drake also referenced Uncle Waffles in a previous Instagram Story, which had her shouting for quite some time; given that he is a big admirer, it’s no surprise that he will attend her event in Toronto.
