Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre Tease ‘Missionary’ Album with Star-Studded Collabs

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s joint album “Missionary” is set to be released next month, promising a treat for music enthusiasts.

According to “Entertainment Tonight,” the latest album from the rap titans will include collaborations with prominent performers such as Sting.

Without going into too much information about their latest release, the “The Next Episode” hitmaker informed the publication that he is really excited about it.

“There’s a song, we have Sting on the song. Man, it’s an amazing roster of artists that’s on this album,” he teased, before adding: “I shouldn’t have revealed that, to be honest.”

The American record producer and rapper also explained what it was like to work with Snoop again and that the album was nearing completion.

“I wanted 14 songs, Snoop wants 16, so we have that thing happening.”

“I’m on song number 11 as far as the mixes go.”

The hip hop heavyweights are well-known for their decades-long collaborations, which have been wildly successful.

This contains numerous collaborations on Dre’s 1992 solo album “The Chronic,” as well as the popular single “Forgot About Dre”.

Their other collaborative work, “Still D.R.E.”, which was released in 1999, now has over 18 billion views on YouTube.

The duo played at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show alongside Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, 50 Cent, and Mary J. Blige, causing a sensation in the music industry.

They also appeared on stage at the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics in August.

On the new album, Dre said: “This one’s gonna show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music.”

“I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career, I’m not playing.”

“The musicians I’m working with right now and some of the writers in the studio that are helping us… Snoop is really excited about this and so am I. I think people are gonna really enjoy this.”

Meanwhile, November will also mark the 31st anniversary of “Missionary’s” predecessor, “Doggystyle” and when the album was first announced in 2022, Snoop called it their “30th anniversary to Doggystyle.”

“It’s been 30 years and believe it or not I’ve only (previously) produced one album with him, ‘Doggystyle’, this is my first time producing an entire album of his,” he added.
