Singer Snoh Aalegra Set to Perform in Joburg, Amid Fans Concerns

Snoh Aalegra, a Swedish-born singer and songwriter, has been named as the headliner for the Rocking the Daisies event, which will take place in Cape Town from October 3 to 6.

Rocking The Daises is an annual event in Cape Town where local and international performers perform and thrill music fans. This year, the festival will take place at Cloof Wine Estate.

Fans and followers of the ‘I Want You Around’ hitmaker flocked to social media to voice their disappointment at not being able to attend the music festival in Cape Town and urged the organizers to invite the musician to Johannesburg.

Reneilwe Koketso, a Facebook user, wrote, “Come to Johannesburg; Cape Town is so far.”

Another Facebook user, Noeleen Skeep, said, “WHAAAAAAT!!!!!” Please perform a gig in Johannesburg as well; you are my favorite among the new school female artists, and I like your voice!”

The enormous screams of Snoh’s admirers, who will be unable to attend the nearby music festival, were not ignored.

Following the fans’ worries, Steyn Entertainment announced today that the R&B star will appear at the In The City event on October 6 at Monte Casino in Fourways for a one-night-only experience.

Steyn Entertainment, a Johannesburg-based entertainment media firm, made the announcement via its social media sites.

Fans immediately rushed to social media to share their enthusiasm for the In The City event with Snoh Aalegra.

The R&B artist is delighted to visit South Africa and play in both Johannesburg and Cape Town. Ayra Starr, a Nigerian singer and songwriter, will serve as the support act.
