Gogo Maweni, a popular traditional healer, wedded her boyfriend Sabelo Mgube in a traditional ceremony at his homestead in Maqongqo, outside Pietermaritzburg, on Sunday.
The “Izangoma Zodumo” reality TV star had already legally married Mgube.
Gogo Maweni has shared her path to becoming Mrs. Mgube on Instagram with her followers. She also uploaded photos from her wedding day and toasted her “forever”.
According to accounts, Gogo Maweni and Mgube married through the Shembe Church, which his family attends.
Gogo Maweni’s videos show her dancing and singing with her husband and family. The prominent sangoma is known for her expensive lifestyle, and her wedding was no exception; she ordered a five-tier wedding cake.
Speaking to the Daily Sun, Gogo Maweni admitted that having all eyes on her made the day overwhelming for her as a shy person.
“I felt overwhelmed. I don’t want to lie, I was scared. People don’t know that I’m a shy person, and I had all eyes on me today. I was doing something that I didn’t know, but I loved being part of it. I’m very happy because we are just making it official.
“We got married a long time ago, and those who thought they would get in the way of this relationship failed,” she told the publication.
Gogo Maweni’s fans flooded her Instagram comments with congratulatory messages, as she has been on a winning streak – she’s purchased a new vehicle to add to her luxury fleet.
She also recently purchased their fourth property.
