Engen has stepped in to aid households affected by high winds and flooding in the Western Cape this week. The destruction is the result of a series of cold fronts that slammed the region.
The company’s initiatives, in line with its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) policy, include a collaboration with Gift of the Givers to provide critical aid to the most affected areas.
Engen’s CSI Manager, Olwethu Mdabula, expressed heartfelt condolences for people affected by the disaster.
Engen is giving critical supplies such as food hampers and hygiene kits to provide urgent assistance to displaced residents. This effort seeks to provide immediate assistance and comfort to individuals in need.
The company’s relationship with Gift of the Givers helps deliver aid to afflicted communities quickly.
“Many people are facing the daunting task of rebuilding, and it is our collective responsibility to support them during this difficult time,” Mdabula told the crowd.
Since 2019, Engen has worked with Gift of the Givers to provide fuel support for more speedy and efficient disaster response actions.
