Sindi Majola Opens Up About Her Relationship With Brenda Fassie

Sindi Majola, an actress, has spoken up about her romantic history with the late singer Brenda Fassie, her family relationships, and the web allegation that she is homeless.

She was recently featured on the “Own Narrative Podcast”.

Majola began her acting career on eTV’s Backstage soapie, where she played Lindi Shabalala.

She appeared in notable telenovelas such as SABC1’s Zone 14, where she played the character Sindi Sibiya.

She also appeared in other dramas, including Yizo Yizo, Rhythm City, Isithembiso, and Tsotsi.

The host, Promise Makunyane, asked Majola about her relationship with the late singer Brenda Fassie, and Majola said that she shared many similarities with Fassie, and that Fassie not only inspired her, but also drove her to live her truth.

And they were both in love with each other, she claimed.

“I love it when you call it a relationship because it was not a love affair, it was more of a companionship. To me, Brenda was bad-mouthed and disrespected yet so admired by the world.

“And I was so curious to say why did she choose me, why she did not want to leave my side and what is it that was hooking her so much to me?

“I met a very loving and caring human being who is just troubled. I felt that she was a troubled soul yet so beautiful inside and out,” she said.

Asked about her family dynamic, Majola revealed that she never received any support from her family members.

“Not even one family member said to me that they are proud of me. When I come back home from school they would say things like I do prostitution in Johannesburg,” the teary actress revealed.

She also revealed that when she was 13 years old, she was raped by a family member, which caused her to become pregnant.

Majola also stated that the deaths of Fassie and her mother devastated her because she had lost two persons she loved deeply in two years.

Fassie died in 2004, and her mother passed away the following year.

Last month, the 50-year-old trended on social media, with some claiming she was homeless and appeared inebriated.

However, she denied allegations that she was ill and maintained that she is content with her life.
