The Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) is an international initiative operated by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom (CSC). The CSFP was established in 1959 and has provided opportunities for over 30,000 citizens of Commonwealth countries to study in the United Kingdom.
The scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), and are aimed at talented individuals who have the potential to make a significant contribution to their home countries.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible candidates must be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, and be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.
Scholarships are offered for Master’s degree programmes at UK universities, and are tenable for one or two years. Successful candidates will receive airfare to and from the United Kingdom, tuition and examination fees, stipend, thesis grant (if applicable), warm clothing allowance, among others.
Applications for the 2022/2023 academic year will open in September 2021. The apply deadline for this scholarship is is 18th of October 2022.
