Criminal charges have been officially filed against Goolam Muhammad Suliman Vawda, the person behind the contentious X account ‘goolammv’.
HowSouth can confirm that a case was filed at the Roodepoort Police Station.
According to sources, the claims were brought up by a top media editor who is not associated with the Independent Media Group.
This move comes after Vawda made a worrisome post on X over the weekend, indicating that he intended to depart the nation after being unmasked.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) confirmed the matter.
Independent Media examined and identified Vawda as the person behind the X account, which has been terrorising politicians, corporate leaders, and individuals since 2018 under the guise of anonymity.
The name of the account’s owner has been revealed for the first time since its inception.
