Barry Stuhler, a South African-born tycoon, has seen his income increase as a result of his investment in Lighthouse Properties. Recent advances in the company’s shares have greatly increased his wealth, solidifying his place among South Africa’s wealthiest persons.
Stuhler’s investment in Lighthouse Properties has increased by R69.08 million ($3.64 million) in the last 13 days, boosted by an increase in the group’s shares on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE).
Lighthouse Properties, a Malta-based property corporation listed on the JSE, owns a varied portfolio of retail assets in France, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, and the UK.
Notably, Stuhler owns a huge 9.72 percent investment in Lighthouse Properties, which equates to 172,699,222 ordinary shares valued at $72.12 million. This significant ownership places him among the wealthiest investors on the JSE.
Stuhler, the co-founder of Resilient Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), brings over three decades of real estate experience and also owns interests in Pangbourne Properties, a high-performing property investment company founded in 2007.
Over the last two weeks, Lighthouse Properties’ JSE shares have risen 5.19 percent, from R7.7 ($0.4059) on March 15 to R8.1 ($0.4269). This raise has increased the company’s market capitalization to almost $750 million, benefiting investors such as Stuhler.
Stuhler’s shareholding in Lighthouse Properties has increased by R69.08 million ($3.64 million), from R1.33 billion ($70.11 million) on March 5 to R1.4 billion ($73.75 million) as of the writing of this report.
This $3.64 million rise strengthens Stuhler’s position as a significant participant on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, underscoring his prowess in real estate investing. His varied portfolio illustrates his ability to navigate financial markets and seize opportunities.
