Socialite, Zodwa Wabantu, is set on her decision to call off her wedding to Ntobeko Linda and has vowed to “never go back” to her former love.
We learnt that the couple were set to tied the knot this past weekend but had suddenly cancelled the wedding ceremony. Zodwa then told TshisaLive on Monday that the wedding is off “for good” and she and Ntobeko had ended their relationship.
Although she did not divulge what has caused their split, she hinted that fame had driven them apart and that Ntobeko did not “fight” for her as he had hoped.
Ntobeko at first refused to comment on their relationship but then broke his silence in four simple but strong words, “Zodwa knows the truth”. He then refused to comment any further.
Zodwa and Ntobeko’s relationship took a dive towards the build-up to the wedding and was called off and back on several times.
But according to Tshisalive, on Wednesday, Zodwa shut down any speculation that there was a possibility for her to reunite with Ntobeko.
“I will never get back to Ntobeko, never.”
She added that she was “bored and tired” of their whole relationship and had been focussed on working hard.
But despite her heartbreak, Zodwa claimed she still believed in love and said she would fall in love again, if given the chance.
“I still believe in love and will be in a relationship in the future, but not with Ntobeko.”
About three weeks ago, Briefly.co.za reported that entertainer and media personality, Zodwa Wabantu, used her reality TV show as a platform from which to apologise for anti-gay statements she made recently.
The apology follows on from Zodwa’s comments about gay men, where she said that woman have to “accommodate them”.
