Zodwa Wabantu has responded to the backlash she recently received for letting her fans touch her and kiss her amid the Covid-19 lockdown. Ever since the country moved to the less-stricter Level 1 lockdown, Zodwa has been performing across Mzansi and peeps have noticed that she doesn’t practice social distancing during her performances.
The exotic dancer, who dances half naked, has even went as far as letting her fans kiss her on the mouth and touch her all over her body, even her private part. She has been slammed a couple of times on social media for not adhering to the lockdown regulations.
Zodwa took to Instagram recently to respond to her critics. The media personality shared a video explaining that she doesn’t have a problem with being touched by her fans when she’s dancing. She captioned the video: “I love you my people.”
In the clip, the star expresses that she always moves away from situations where she doesn’t feel comfortable about the way her fans touch her. “Guys, whether you touch me or whether you do whatever to me when I am on stage, I don’t have a problem with that.”
She said that it’s the people who only see the videos that have a problem with what she does when she is on stage. She added that she would like her fans to continue showing her support.
It was reported that Zodwa recently posted a series of videos where she can be seen kneeling down to the cramped crowd while touching and giving fans kisses on the lips.
