Being the owner of a football club is a luxury (and a responsibility) which is not for everyone. So, starting from the least to the most, here  we present you with the top 10 richest club owners in the world. No doubt some of these will surprise you.

10. Joe Lewis (Tottenham Hotspur)

With a fortune of around 4.800.000.000 euros, this British entrepreneur is placed in tenth position on our list. As well as being the President of Tottenham, he is the main investor in the private investment organisation ‘Tavistock Group’. However, White Hart Lane isn’t close to home seeing as he currently lives in the Bahamas.

This man originally from Pakistan, moved to the USA aged 16 and started off washing the dishes in a restaurant. He is now worth a fortune of  5.400.000.000 euros after creating ‘Flex-N-Gate’ a company supplying car parts. Despite his economic capacity, Fulham currently compete in the second tier of English football. Is Sahid Khan doing well in his ownership of the club?

8. Silvio Berlusconi (AC Milan)

He doesn’t need any introduction. The whole world knows about Silvio Burlesconi, who as well as being the President of AC Milan since 1986, is the president of one of the worlds most important media companies: Mediaset. His fortune is around 5.600.000.000 euros.

The Russian tycoon arrived with his oil money at Chelsea in 2003 and since then the history of the London club has changed completely. His fortune of 6.900.000.000 euros has helped him to buy some great players who got to lift the Champions League in 2012.

The entrepreneur and owner of  ‘Kroenke Sports Entreprises’ is a great lover of sport, and with his fortune of euros he is also the owner of the Denver Nuggets in the NBA, the Colorado Rapids in the MLS, the Colorado Avalanche in the NHL and the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL.

5. Dmitry Rybolovlev (AS Monaco)

The Russian multi-millionaire, like Kroenke, is a great lover of football. Known for featuring in the ‘divorce of the century’, where he had to pay euros to his ex-wife, Rybolovlev wanted to buy Manchester United but it wasn’t possible. His current fortune is around 8.500.000.000 euros.

4. Philip Anschutz (LA Galaxy)

The President of LA Galaxy is one of the richest men in the US thanks to his fortune of 8.800.000.000 euros. This large fortune has been acquired as a result of railway and oil deals. As well as the club already mentioned, Philip is also the owner of the Los Angeles Kings in the NHL.

3. Dietrich Mateschitz (NY Red Bulls)

You can find euros in the bank of the man in 3rd position. The Austrian is one of the founders of Red Bull, which his team is named after. Furthermore, he is also the owner of the Formula 1 racing team Red Bull Racing.

The President of Stade Rennais owns a business empire of 60 firms, amongst them being Puma, Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. His fortune exceeds euros, something which seems sufficient for his club to face new challenges, seeing as currently they find themselves only in 5th position in Ligue 1.

The Sheikh of Manchester City is one of the richest people in the world. His full name is Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and he comes from the family which governs Abu Dhabi. As well as being a political figure in the United Arab Emirates, he also works with firms such as Virgin Galactic and Sky News Saudi Arabia, which has made him acquire a fortune of no less than euros
