The story of convicted racist Vicki Momberg has made its introduction on Trevor Noah’s Daily Show.
The host – South African comic Trevor Noah – told the audience how Momberg was condemned to three years in a correctional facility, one of which was suspended, for racially mishandling two black cops.
A video of Momberg repeatedly calling the officers the k-word went viral.
She was convicted on four counts of crimen injuria.
The former estate agent is asking the court for leave to appeal her prison sentence.
During his Tuesday night show, Noah explained to his audience what the k-word means and how some South Africans argued its use is protected under free speech.
