Muso Jub Jub has finally dropped the much-anticipated music video for his latest single which he used as a medium to seek forgiveness for his past mistakes.
The rapper dropped the song shortly after he was released from prison on parole. Three months after, Molemo ‘Jub Jub’ Maarohanye released the music video, giving fans a sneak peek of what prison life feels like. The track which he dubbed Ke Kopa Tshwarelo (Please forgive me) sheds more light on his incarceration and the demons he had to face.
In the music video, several scenes from prison were recreated making it more touching than the audio version of the song. It also shows people visiting him in jail with words of encouragement.
The rapper breaks down after getting support from jazz veteran Tshepo Tshola. In the end, he walks away a free man and pays his grandmother a visit at her grave.
Meanwhile, muso Jub Jub and his management have remained mute about the music video. Notably, the rapper has maintained a low profile since his release from prison.
Below are the lyrics in Jub Jub’s forgiveness song in collaboration with musician Tshepo Tshola.
“Our Father who art in Heaven.Ke gathetse kediphoso tse kedientseng[I’m tired of the mistakes I’ve made]. Dikeleditsakadirotha ke lle chankaneng[my tears are rolling down my face in prison].“
“Keikentse mathateng Wantsa seretseng[I got myself into trouble and You took me out of it]. My life was too fast, five to,ho yadiheleng[I was close to going to hell] .”
“Standing before you . all I need from you is guidance. Ngiwayenzile ama [I have done] careless [things], sniffing coke [cocaine], ridingreckless. Thought I was doing best, living life to the fullest .”
“I’m grateful for the second chance. Now I know where my life stands, with a purpose. I just want to tie up all the loose ends. No more wrong turns .”
