Two Suspects Arrested After 7 People Shot Dead On Free State Farm

Free State police have arrested two suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of seven people at the Lismore Farm in Kestell district.


The two men, aged 22 and 34 years, were arrested on a road just outside Bohlokong township on Saturday morning.


Police spokesperson Brigadier Motantsi Makhele said that two firearms, a shotgun and a pellet gun believed to have been stolen from the same farmhouse were also recovered, with the possibility that one of the firearms could be the murder weapon.


Three men shot dead in Citrusdal

Three men were gunned down in Citrusdal in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Western Cape police said the three victims, believed to be from Lesotho, were shot and killed at their informal dwelling in Riverview.

It is believed that a fourth male also sustained a gunshot wound, but managed to escape the attack.

This victim is yet to be traced. The motive for the shooting is unclear and no one has yet been arrested.
