Nomzamo Mbatha utilized her graduation dress to pay a unique tribute to relatives who have passed on.
The actress showed off the dress, which is printed with images of her loved ones’ faces, on Instagram.
The outfit also features the words ‘courage’, ‘resilience’ and ‘love’, plus the South African Depression & Anxiety Group’s toll-free number.
“Today is the Third. Carla died on the Third. My dress has the pictures of those I have buried, those who held my heart. To Courage. To Resilience. Overcome. #UCTGrad2018 #RememberThem,” she captioned the video.
Carla is the Isibaya star’s cousin who committed suicide in 2014. One of Carla’s last posts on Instagram described Nomzamo as an “absolutely beautiful being”.
“You always pick me up when I’m down, I love you so much, words couldn’t describe it,” she posted several days before taking her life,” she wrote.
Nomzamo graduated from the University of Cape Town (UCT) on Tuesday. She obtained her BCom degree.
Nomzao revealed last month that her graduation dress was “close to her heart”
