The power of music is undeniable, and the power of beautiful music even more so. A clip of school children singing a hymn was shared on social media and it had South Africans feeling very emotional.
When Christo Thurston, a bit of a social media celeb, shared a clip of school children masterly singing a beautiful hymn, he sparked an emotional response.
Some South Africans were reminded of Monday morning assembly at school, and others were just emotional thanks to how well the children sang.
It’s not clear whether the clip is old or new, but the fact remains that it hits listeners right in the feels.

This song suddenly made me emotional. Molweni Bazalwane aba hle
For @SweetLoveTFM, the video was a reminder of how schools used to be:
When Jesus was still in schools and the children were not killing each other!
@Tshepoo_ was also reminded of the ‘good old days’:
Took me back to my school days when we had assembly Mondays, good times! Blessed sunday mzalwane
We noticed that the video gave many listeners goosebumps, such as @selu_nathi:
