A controversial tweet was shared on Sunday by twitter user, @AdvBarryRoux.
The tweet alleges that a baby was abducted from one of the Shoprite stores on 28 March.
The caption also seemingly criticises the food retailer for their lack of action and acknowledgement of the incident.
Shoprite are you going to say anything to acknowledge that a child was stolen in yo store in Mokopane on the 28th? Where is the footage to help the mother? Is it even safe to shop in yo stores if kids are stolen in your stores & u say nothing? 😔 😢 😭 💔

Details of the incident are yet to be confirmed, but we understand the baby is only 6 weeks old and named Boitumelo Kutlwano Rabalago.
It is believed that the baby boy was abducted at the Mokopane shopping centre.
A stranger gained the trust of the baby’s mother and offered to assist her carry the child.
The 2 ladies bought some groceries together and the stranger offered to hold the baby while the mom ate her lunch.
The 24-year-old mother agreed, but soon realised that the lady had disappeared with Boitumelo.

Social media users lashed out at the tweet and felt that the finger should be pointed at the mother and not the food retailer.
