Ramaphosa Cancels His Door-To-Door Campaign In Tembisa And Soweto…..See Why

Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa canceled his door-to-door programme planned to take place in Tembisa and Soweto townships ahead of the ANC 105th birthday celebrations this weekend.

Ramaphosa announced this on Thursday saying his visit to these two towns will be suspended indefinitely so himself and the other members of the ruling party who were expected to join him, could prepare for the ANC 105th birthday celebrations.

He was scheduled to conduct door-to-door visits in Tembisa and Soweto on Friday and Saturday as part of a build-up campaign towards the organisation’s 105 years celebrations and January 8th Statement.

The Deputy President was also meant to hold a mini-rally at the Winnie Mandela Township Taxi Rank, and have a dialogue with the South African Youth Council (SAYC) in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni. “A new media programme shall be released in due course.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused,” said ANC spokesperson, Khusela Sangoni  who failed to further explain why the engagement was withdrawn. Many ANC leaders engaged themselves in similar campaigns in their respective constituencies.
