Protests Erupted In The Western Cape Following A Failed Land Grab

Violence broke out in the Western Cape seaside town of Hermanus on Monday, with a remain off amongst police and a few occupants.

A gathering of individuals rampaged, consuming tires in solidarity with 21 individuals who were captured throughout the end of the week for unlawful land snatches.

A bus and house were reportedly set alight.

Police had to use rubber bullets to disperse the crowd.
