This after practices in Motherwell, Zwide, Kwazakhele among others had been robbed or burgled over the last two months.
Police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge, said a delegation of about 100 people, including 50 doctors, handed over a memorandum to Motherwell Police Station on Monday.
The delegation started with a motorcade from Njoli Square, Kwazakhele until Motherwell Police Station in Tyinira Road, Motherwell.
Station Commander, Brigadier Ernie Neveling ensured the community and doctors that their cases were receiving full police investigation. Neveling said plans were in motion to ensure a higher police visibility and patrols around doctors practices.
“We also urge our doctors to join hands with the Community Police Forums (CPF) in their respective areas to ensure that they take more preventative measures in safeguarding their practice premises” he said.
