Over 10,000 People Sign Petition to Remove Andile Mngxitama From Parliament

Over 10,000 individuals want Andile Mngxitama removed from Parliament after an old video of him resurfacing went viral.

Concerned Citizens have petitioned to remove Mngxitama from Parliament, as reported by SABC News.Mngxitama was recently sworn in as MP for the MK Party. A video showing him allegedly encouraging violence against white people at a demonstration a year ago went viral, prompting condemnation and calls for his removal.

Another Member of Parliament in jeopardy for racist rants is Renaldo Gouws of the Democratic Alliance, who went viral after old footage of him spouting racial slurs surfaced.The DA suspended him and began disciplinary proceedings. Kallie Kriel of Afriforum endorsed the petition.

South Africans responded to @SABCNews’ tweet with mixed reactions, with some criticizing and others supporting the petition.
