The wife of a former Cabinet minister is expected to appear in the Hatfield Magistrate’s Court in Pretoria on Monday morning in connection with an alleged assault and malicious damage to property.
The Hawks arrested the 40-year-old woman on Friday at the couple’s home in Waterkloof.
She spent the night in the holding cells at the Brooklyn police station before being released on bail of R5 000 on Saturday.
It’s alleged that the woman damaged an expensive luxury vehicle that her husband had borrowed from a friend.
