Moonchild On Women’s Violence – ”Get Guns And Protect Yourselves”

“I own my body and even though I’m broken, I had to change the narrative,” said the musician and designer. She opened up on Twitter about being a victim of various assaults. “One time I was sexually harassed by a relative and went to report it with my friend Maps. The cops, both men and women, asked me what I was wearing and why I danced with my uncle. They said I should go home and talk about it with my family. They took me home in a van.”

She said a relative who visited during holidays touched her punani and taught her to French kiss. In another tweet, she said she was raped on the floor in her room. She said she passed out and woke up with him inside her with a condom.

The singer opened up after news broke on Monday that missing student Uyinene Mrwetyana had been raped and murdered. Moonchild told the SunTeam: “I can see what is happening and I’m not alone. Women must stick together,” she said. “We need to protect ourselves, even get stun guns and aim for their 4-5s.”
