Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Confirm First Post-Africa Royal Engagement

Less than a week after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex along with their son Archie returned from South Africa, the couple has announced their next royal engagement.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will attend the annual WellChild awards in London on 15th October to pay tribute to the bravery of seriously ill children as well as their parents and carers who support and look after them.

Harry has been a patron of the WellChild charity since 2007, regularly attending the awards and visiting the charity’s headquarters to meet with the children and employees.

Last year, Markle joined her husband in attending the awards ceremony, wearing a pair of black Altuzarra suit trousers with a ‘Coco camisole shantung’ black blouse from Swedish brand Deitas, black stiletto heels and a matching clutch bag.

The royal couple will attend a reception ahead of the official ceremony to meet the young winners of each award as well as their families and nominated nurses and carers. The Duke of Sussex will then present the award for Most Inspirational Child (between the ages of four to six) and deliver a speech to mark the occasion.

The official engagement will be the first joint visit for the couple since landing back on UK soil after their 10-day tour of South Africa, where Harry also visited Angola, Malawi and Botswana.
