Here is how to go about it:
Ingredients:
- 6 huge potatoes
- 1/2 minced meat
- 2 cups of oil
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- A bunch of dhania
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp of paprika powder
- 1/2 tsp of black pepper
Method:
- Boil the potatoes with salt until they are well cooked.
- Mash them finely, make sure there are no lumps left.
- In a separate pan, add the minced beef and let cook for 15 minutes.
- Add all the spices and stir well for a minute or two.
- Add the dhania and salt and cook for 5-7 minutes until well cooked.
- Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- On separate dishes put the breadcrumbs and eggs consecutively.
- Using your hand, pinch a golf ball size amount of mashed potato and spread it flat on one hand.
- Now, add the cooked minced meat and mold it into a ball-like shape ensuring all the meat is covered in the centre.
- Coat the ball with beaten egg all over and proceed to coat with the breadcrumbs.
- Repeat this procedure until all the mashed potatoes and minced meat are used up.
- In a frying pan, add some oil and let it heat.
- Gently place these balls into the oil three at a time.
- Fry on each side until golden brown for about two minutes each.
- Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel.
- Cool and serve with a salad, dip or sauce of your choice!
