A choice about Lorenzo Gordinho’s future at Kaizer Chiefs will be made once the player comes back to the club in January.

Lorenzo Gordinho, who was eager to get regular game-time, completed a loan move to Bloemfontein Celtic in the January transfer window, where he is set to complete a one-year loan stint with Siwelele.

The 23-year-old will make his return to Amakhosi in January next year, although, the player’s future may be determined by the circumstances at Chiefs in the coming months.

With the player sent out on loan, it was clear that he is no longer in Head Coach Steve Komphela’s plans at Chiefs, falling below the likes of Daniel Cardoso and Siyabonga Ngezana on the pecking order. Should Komphela still be in charge at the helm of Amakhosi when Gordinho returns, there is little possibility that the player will see regular game-time.

However, there are several Premier Soccer League outfits that have shown interest in the player, which could be an alternative route, should his fortunes with Amakhosi remain unchanged.
