Injured Khune Doubtful For World Cup Qualifier On Friday

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has been diagnosed with a fractured bone in his face following his side’s Telkom Knockout match against Chippa United on Sunday.

Khune is now in serious doubt for South Africa’s crucial World Cup qualifier against Senegal in Polokwane on Friday.

Chiefs confirmed the fracture on Monday morning, adding that Khune is due to see a specialist regarding the injury.

Khune went down injured in injury time during the match against Chippa, and had to be stretchered off the field.
