Minnie Dlamini has revealed that she will “soon” be walking down the aisle
The Homeground presenter visited DJ Fresh’s Metro FM breakfast show on Friday morning, and had a lot to say about her relationship with TV producer, Quinton Jones.
While she refused to furnish any details about their upcoming wedding, Minnie did reveal that it was around the corner.
The 26-year-old added that she will be keeping her last name professionally after she gets hitched, but will become Mrs Jones legally.
“For branding purposes, I will always be Minnie Dlamini, but legally I will change my name,” she told Fresh.
Minnie says she talked about her decision with her hubby-to-be, who is fine with it, as long as their future children take his surname
Speaking of children, when asked whether she was feeling broody, Minnie responded with a definite “no”.
But she revealed that she if she did have children, she would like two or three.
“I definitely want boys. If I have a daughter, great, but boys,” she said.
Minnie added that after bad experiences in past relationships, she lost faith in the idea of marriage and fairytale of weddings
She says she told her fiancé before he proposed that she was fine with them just being like Oprah and Stedman – who are life partners, and don’t need a marriage certificate to validate their love.
But Quinton had other plans, and travelled to KwaZulu-Natal to ask her parents for her hand in marriage before he popped the question late last year.
