To determine which areas/suburbs are exclusive, New World Wealth looked at two factors: price per square metre and the number of houses worth R20 million in an area.
New World Wealth said the price per square metre factor had some limitations.
“This is due to the garden element (i.e. how do you value the garden?). The truth is price per square metre stats only work really well on apartments and some areas don’t have many apartments, which makes this tricky,” it said.
Below are the most expensive suburbs based on the price per square metere and the number of R20 million-plus homes. All figures have been rounded off.
