The matric exams have come and gone – now what?
The anticipation of waiting for the final exam results can be overwhelming. According to AfricaCheck, suicide is the fourth leading cause of death among young people. Suicides tend to spike around this time of the year.
There are things that learners can do to take their minds off the matric results according to the SA Depression and Anxiety Group.
“Spend time with family, have a routine and stay positive. Speak to family and friends for emotional support and don’t give up on passing matric.”

“If you’ve failed less than three subjects, speak to your teachers about writing a supplementary exam, or you could apply for a remarking.”
