Cape Town City Have Appointed A Former Orlando Pirates Coach

Cape Town City have appointed ex Orlando Pirates coach in a new role at the club.

It was reported by the Siya crew earlier this week that Pirates MultiChoice Diski Challenge coach, Rayaan Jacobs was being linked with an exit from the club following the end of the campaign.

Now it has since been unveiled to the crew by a reliable source that Jacobs has since parted ways with Pirates and has been appointed as the new assistant coach at City.

Vasili Manousakis has been filling in alongside Head Coach Benni McCarthy in the interim, however, according to sources, Manousakis will be returning to his former role as team manager, with the former Pirates coach now set to work alongside McCarthy as the assistant coach.

An official announcement yet to be made by the Citizens in the coming days, however, according to sources, Jacobs will not be on the bench tonight when City host Chippa United at the Athlone Stadium, with indications that paperwork with the Premier Soccer League is still to be finalised.
