America’s Got Talent Finale: The Ndlovu Youth Choir Collaborates With Kygo, Macklemore

The top 10 acts of Season 14 returned to the America’s Got Talent stage on Wednesday where V.Unbeatable, the Detroit Youth Choir, Emanne Beasha, Ryan Niemiller, Voices of Service, Light Balance Kids, Benicio Bryant, Tyler Butler-Figueroa, Kodi Lee and SA’s Ndlovu Youth Choir collaborated with some of their favorite artists for the epic two-hour finale.

The finale saw the Ndlovu Youth Choir team up with Kygo, Macklemore and America’s Got Talent finalists, the Detroit Youth Choir.

The Ndlovu Youth Choir and Africa’s ‘Toto’

Even though the Ndlovu Youth Choir did not win, the choir still wowed the judges and audience during their final performance on America’s Got Talent on Tuesday night in the US. The choir performed ‘Africa’ by Toto for the final leg of the talent show.

Simon Cowell even said that the choir’s performance ended off the best “Got Talent” finale he has ever been on.

According to TVLIne, the top five of America’s Got Talent season 14 further included; Voices of Service finished in fifth place, V.Unbeatable in fourth place, Ryan Niemiller in third and the Detroit Youth Choir in second.

After the winner was announced, the Ndlovu Youth Choir did reflect on their journey on AGT, saying:

“Our @AGT journey may have come to an end but this is only the beginning. We are so excited for what lies ahead and we look forward to continuing sharing love, unity and above all hope.”

The Ndlovu Youth Choir’s journey on America’s Got Talent

The choir first auditioned for AGT earlier this year. The choir auditioned for the 14th season of America’s Got Talent, where Simon Cowell, Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union, Howie Mandel, and host Terry Crews followed in their talent search, to showcase unique performers.

The Ndlovu Youth Choir is from a small town in Limpopo and since its inception in 2009, “have profoundly affected the lives of the choristers and demonstrates the potential of any human being to achieve excellence no matter their background, education or place of birth,” reads their official website. “From its humble beginnings as an after-school activity, the choir has evolved into a truly outstanding professional ensemble.”
