At the mention of soap, the first thing that comes to mind is bathing and washing.
But the truth is that due to its properties, soap can be used to solve a lot of problemsyou’ve probably never thought of.
Here are 7 unique ways you can use your soap to solve simple problems at home aside just bathing with it.
1. Anti-Fog Coating
Just in case you’re someone who uses glasses then this hack will be the best for you. We know the struggle you go through when you want to sip that hot morning coffee and heat from the coffee fogs your glasses or spectacles and you have to wipe it when you’re done.
There is an easy way to go about it, just grab a bar of soap and rub it on the lens and with a piece of cloth, use it to clean your lens and that solves it. It will coat your lens from fogging.
You can use a nice scented soap as air-freshener if you want to and it even lasts longer than the air-fresheners on the market. Just make nice little bags out of tissues and drop blocks of the soap in it and leave it in your wardrobe or wherever you wish to have it.
3. Shower Gel.
If you prefer shower gels to block soaps and you’re faced with a situation where you like the scent of a block soap but wish it was a shower gel, don’t worry, you can turn your block soap into a shower gel.
Just get a grater and grate a significant amount of the soap you will need, put it in a pan, add some little amount of water and boil for about 10 minutes, leave to cool and then pour into a container of your choice and you’re good to go.
4. Preventing Fog On Your Mirror.
If you always have fog on your mirror due to heat from the water you use in the bathroom or the heater, just rub some soap on the mirror and get a nice cloth and use it to wipe the surface clean and you’re good to go.
5. Create Toilet Blocks.
Your toilet is dirty or smells bad and you want to have some blocks in there that will leave it smelling good all the time, then get yourself some baking soda, citric acid, liquid soap, mix them together till it forms a paste, pack it into an ice cube tray and freeze it. Take out one cube and put it in your WC and you’re good to go.
6. Nail Hole Filler.
Did you just take out a nail on your wall and it left a hole in it, just grab a soap bar and rub it over it, particles will break from the soap and fill the hole, covering it smoothly.
7. Eyebrow Volumizer.
Do you need to keep your eyebrows neatly tucked in place, then all you need to do is rub your eyebrow brush on a bar of soap and use it to brush your eyebrow into your preferred position and that does it.
