If you are chosen as a scholarship recipient and are enrolled to a two-year Master’s degree, you must have completed all courses in the first year to be eligible for the grant again in the second year.
The Radboud Scholarship, together with the Radboud Encouragement Scholarship and the Fulbright-Radboud Scholarship, cannot be combined. You may apply for more than one scholarship if you are eligible, but only one will be awarded. Please keep in mind that you cannot apply for both the Radboud Scholarship Programme and the Radboud Encouragement Scholarship at the same time; you can only apply for one of these two.

Your tuition cost will be reduced to €2.530,- if you receive a Radboud Scholarship. For example, in 2024/2025, a grant holder will pay a tuition cost of only €2.530,- rather than €17,000. The scholarship also covers visa and residence permit fees, as well as health and liability insurance for your stay in the Netherlands (Aon Student Insurance). The scholarship does not cover the costs of living and studying in the Netherlands.
Eligible Countries: All non-EU/non-EEA countries
Eligibility: You will only be eligible to apply for a Radboud Scholarship if you:
- hold a non-EU/non-EEA passport.
- are not eligible for the lower EU/EEA tuition fee for other reasons.
- have (will obtain) a Bachelor’s degree achieved outside the Netherlands, have no degrees achieved in the Netherlands and did not receive any previous education in the Netherlands (exchange programmes excluded, provided that they are part of the Bachelor’s degree achieved outside the Netherlands).
- meet the English language proficiency requirement for the Master’s programme of your choice.
- have been fully admitted to the English-taught Master’s programme starting 1 September 2024 as stated in the formal letter of admission.
- are able to comply with the conditions for obtaining a visa for the Netherlands.
- are enrolled at Radboud University as a full-time student for the academic year and Master’s programme for which the scholarship will be awarded.
How To Apply: You can apply by mentioning that you want to apply for a Radboud Scholarship during your application for admission to a Master’s programme via the OSIRIS Application system. After that, you will be asked to upload three extra documents: two reference letters and a curriculum vitae.If you previously uploaded these papers for your Master’s programme application, you can do so again for your scholarship application.
The scholarship selection procedure and admission to the Master’s course are two different processes: entrance to the Master’s programme does not imply scholarship selection.
