Trevor Noah interviewed fellow South African Charlize Theron on The Daily Show this week, and they had nothing but kind words for each other
The global stars couldn’t stop praising each other’s achievements.
Trevor revealed that he cried when Charlize won an Oscar for her role in the 2003 film, Monster.
“I started crying and I was like, ‘she’s so good’ and all of South Africa was like ‘she’s so amazing and so golden and so good,’” said the comedian.
Charlize said felt the same way when Trevor got his big break in the US.
“I said exactly the same thing when you got this job, and I said, ‘he is so amazing and so golden’,” she teased.
Charlize was on the show to promote her new movie Atomic Blonde
She plays an MI6 agent who is sent into Berlin five days before the wall falls.
Trevor told the actress that he was impressed that she did her own stunts in the movie.
“I feel like South African girls are just tough, there’s something in the water in South Africa,” she said.
Trevor joked that it was cholera!
