South Africa’s Hlompho Kekana has earned a nomination for Fifa’s famous Puskas award. The winner will be decided by the public and announced at FIFA’s annual player of the year ceremony on 9 January.

Kekana’s goal was scored from inside his own half against Cameroon.

He’s up against some big names – including Lionel Messi and Neymar. Some stellar goals have made the shortlist, but one of the most unorthodox is, without a doubt, this one by Simon Skrabb who scored from a scorpion kick in the Swedish league.
