Unbelievable!! Man Rose Back To Life In Morgue Fridge

The KZN Health Department has launched an investigation after a man who was declared dead was found alive in a state morgue fridge.

The young man was said to be a victim of a motorcycle accident which happened on Monday night in KwaMashu, KwaZulu-Natal. He was reportedly declared dead at the accident scene Emergency Medical Rescue Services and was taken to the Phoenix mortuary where he was deposited in a fridge – all night.

The following morning when his family arrived the morgue for identification purposes, the mortuary staff found the patient had a pulse and breathing efforts. He was immediately transported to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital for resuscitation. He then made a comeback after the tireless effort of doctors and nurses at the Mahatam Gandhi Hosptial. Commenting on the incidence, the Democratic Alliance (DA) in KZN bemoaned the shortcomings within the KZN health department’s EMRS and mortuary services.

“Paramedics are overworked and understaffed, leading to horrible tragedies like this one. This must never happen to anyone or any other family ever again,” DA MPL and alternative spokesman for health, Rishigen Viranna, said. The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health, on Friday, said an inquiry into the incidence has commenced. “The department can confirm that an internal inquiry is underway regarding this matter,” department head Sifiso Mtshali.

Across the globe, there have been stories about people who were given a second chance at life. In 2012, foreign newspaper The Daily Mail reported  that a grandmother Hardy Lyudmila Steblitskaya was brought back to life after she spent 3 days laying in a freezing cold morgue. The 61-year-old Russian woman was said to have made the comeback just minutes away from being cut open for her autopsy.

That same year, reports had it that a 28-year-old Egyptian waiter Hamdi Hafez al-Nubi, stunned many mourners when he dramatically woke up from his casket while his body was being prepared for burial. The doctors had declared him dead after he suffered a heart attack at work. He was subsequently resuscitated after doctors discovered he was still warm.
