With Stuart Baxter naming his squad for the up and coming FIFA break, the Siya group observed the 10 players positioned as Bafana’s most expensive players as per transfermarkt.com.
The South African national team recently failed to get to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, with Baxter now targeting a spot at the next African Cup of Nations as he looks to fulfil one aspect of the mandate given to him by the South African Football Association.
Of the 10 most expensive South African players on the transfermarkt.com website, only one of them is based in the Absa Premiership, with the other nine plying their trades in countries such as France, England, the Netherlands and Belgium.
The most expensive South African player according to the website is
1. Bongani Zungu at €3.5m
