Grade 2 learner at Sacred Heart College, Michelle Nkamankeng, recently made history when she became the youngest published author on the continent and also the 10th youngest in the world.
The seven-year-old says the book is based on her own life experiences.
“The book is about conquering your fears which is something that actually happened to me,” says Nkamankeng.
She says a holiday at Sun city inspired the title of the book “waiting for the waves”.
Nkamankeng say she feels happy and proud to have the title of youngest published author on the continent.
