Parliament To Consider Disciplinary Action Against Zuma

The EFF’s chief whip Floyd Shivambu wrote to Mbete demanding that action be taken against Zuma for flouting the constitution and now the EFF claims that it has received information confirming that Mbete will consider taking action.

Mbete, who is speaker of the National Assembly and national chairperson of the ANC, said in her response that the matter will be given “due consideration, including at the multiparty meeting she has requested.”

Earlier today leaders from SA’s political parties attended a meeting with parly’s two presiding officers, Baleka Mbete and Thandi Modise to discuss the ConCourt judgement against both the president and the National Assembly.

What happens next is anyone’s guess, but we wouldn’t get our hopes up as to any real action being taken against the president or the ANC majority in the National Assembly who dismissed the Public Protector’s report and found themselves on the wrong side of the law.
