Word coming to the Siya team is that SuperSport United have gotten Nigeria central defender, Jamiu Alimi, as they hope to support their backline.
It was accounted for by Soccer Laduma a year ago that the 25-year-old was looking at a move to the Absa Premiership as he looked for the subsequent stage in his vocation, and he has now been allowed to substantiate himself with Matsatsantsa.
Given the fact that Eric Tinkler recently left the club, it will be Kaitano Tembo and his technical team running the rule over the tall defender in order to make a decision on whether he fits the bill or not.
While Siya sources have confirmed that the former Kano Pillars man did start training with SuperSport today, as yet there has been no word as to how long he will be given to try and impress.

Alimi, who has represented the Super Eagles at CHAN, spent some time in Europe playing for Olympiakos Nicosia in Cyprus but is now eager to try and show South African football what he’s capable of.
SuperSport currently have Clayton Daniels, Morgan Gould, Tefu Mashamaite, Azubuike Egwuekwe and Denwin Farmer on their books at centre back, although ‘Masha’ is looking set to leave and Farmer is on his way to Maritzburg United next season.
Alimi started training with the team today.
