Metro FM Awards!! See The List of Top SA Musicians Who Were Not Impressed With The Results!!

The 16th Metro FM Awards held last Saturday at the Durban ICC have raised a considerable measure of issues concerning the believability of the Metros.

The Metro have been drifting via web-based networking media for all the wrong reasons. This was after rapper Riky Rick impacted TV and radio stations while giving his acknowledgment discourse. Evidently, the artist wasn’t cheerful that he got a honor while there are battling craftsmen out there who never at any point got airplay.

Following his acceptance speech at the Metros which was cut short, Riky took to Twitter to pour out his heart;

“If niggaz can pay for these f***ing awards, then my nigga, I don’t want them,” he later tweeted.

Moreover, not just Riky, other artists were also dissatisfied with the results of the the 16th Metro FM Awards.

Here are some of the reactions we got from other artists on the 16th Metro FM Awards;

DJ Black Coffee weighed in on the matter raised by Riky Rick. He also took to social media to share his disappointment with the way the awards are being handled. Wondering why his remix did not make the cut even though it was played worldwide, the DJ suggested that Metro FM should limit itself to being a radio station only.

Most people including Ntando Duma thought Kwesta’s Ngud would take the award for Song of the Year. Instead, the award went to Nasty c for Hell Naw. Ngud was clearly the most-celebrated songs in 2016.

Thus, Kwesta also took to social media to share his thoughts, saying “the bullsh*t must be called”.
